Join the YP4H Team Challenge
Earn up to 5,000 points for participating in the Take A Walk with an American Hero challenge that started May 6th and continues through June 9. While walking together as a university, we’ll learn about John Glenn’s historic life: from his time as a combat pilot to his adventures as an astronaut to his service as a senator, and finally his gracious support of Ohio State! There will be weekly engagement opportunities to win $25 PulseCash throughout the five-week challenge. Log into the Virgin Pulse portal to join start or join a team and track your steps.

IT Updates

Zoom-Outlook Integration Update for PC Users
Microsoft has been making updates to several of its tools, and a new version of Outlook is on the horizon. As part of this update to Outlook, Microsoft will no longer be supporting the Zoom plug-in—instead, you will be able to use the Zoom add-in for Outlook. Learn more.

Save Your University Data in OneDrive
Storing your files in OneDrive offers several advantages over saving them locally on your computer. Using OneDrive ensures your files are securely backed up and protected from data loss due to hardware failure or theft.  While CrashPlan continues to be available from the university, it is considered a last resort for file restoration in the event of hardware failure. We do not recommend storing important files on your local hard drive. For more information and resources regarding OneDrive, please see the Administrative Resource Center overview and Job Aid for this service.

6 - Effective Meeting Facilitation: Getting the Most Out of Your Group
A good facilitator makes the difference between the success and failure of a group. Have you ever left a meeting where the group’s decision still didn’t feel right or where everyone still wasn’t on the same page? Attend this June 6th in-person workshop to learn how to be effective at facilitating people through processes that provide useful information and data in making decisions and developing ownership over those decisions. Environmental Professionals Network Summer Field Trip to Stone Laboratory (June 11)

Discover Ohio State’s island campus on Lake Erie with the Environmental Professionals Network. Offering a powerful combination of science education and research Stone Laboratory is located on the 6.5-acre Gibraltar Island in Put-in-Bay harbor and is the research, education, and outreach facility of the Ohio Sea Grant College Program supported by the CFAES School of Environment and Natural Resources, Ohio State University Extension, and National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Sea Grant, a network of 34 Sea Grant programs nationwide dedicated to the protection and sustainable use of marine and Great Lakes resources. Join this day-long excursion where Stone Lab and Ohio Sea Grant island staff will show first-hand the work being conducted on Lake Erie, along its shore, and within its watershed via a variety of educational activities.
